Two ladies from Scarborough and two from Halifax joined us at home for a day of ‘Wool on Wool Applique’ , also known as ‘Penny Rugs’.
Ruth started a fabulous ‘Penny Rug’ with wool on wool applique. She got the fabric ready to start the blanket stitch edging once she got home.
Rachel just about completed her ‘Love’ cushion – beautiful blanket stitch, and Sue was well on the way with her lovely cat and mouse cushion !
Back at The Fabbadashery we had a great morning session doing my ‘Quilt As You Go’ workshop.
I do warn people that making these little ‘mini quilts’ is very addictive, but Viv, who came to the ‘Crazy Patchwork’ session in the afternoon had taken it to a whole new level. Have a look at what she’s made since she learned this technique just a few weeks ago !!!
Viv hasn’t decided what she’s going to make yet, she’s just enjoying doing them !
Suzanne brought her ‘Rug Hooking’ project back to show us the finished piece – fabulous, I’m sure you will agree ! She’s going to make it into a wall hanging. I love the combination of the hooking and proddy techniques, and also the use of yarns as well as fabrics.
The ‘Crazy Patchwork’ session was as crazy as I expected ! Some lovely results were obtained, the pictures below show some of the work done in this session.
