My ‘Quilt As You Go’ workshops seem very popular at the moment ! I have had a day at The Fabbadashery and a full day at home this week doing this workshop.
The following pictures are the lovely ladies (and girls) who made some very exciting pieces of textile art using quilting, embroidery and embellishment.
Have you ever seen so much stuff on one table ?!
And here are some of the pieces they made – these will be combined to make bags, book covers, i-pad covers or anything they want them to be. The first one was stitched by Ella, my lovely helper.
The next lot of pictures are a group from Tadcaster who were regular visitors when I was running the courses up in Farndale, in the middle of the North York Moors. It was so lovely to see them again. They also chose to do ‘Quilt As You Go’.
I have just noticed that there is always tea and cake on the table in these photos !
These are a few of their mini art quilts waiting to be combined with more stitching.
Here is Christy, looking after RaggedyAnnie for me …..
….. I think Christy must have been very busy once she got home ( her Mum had to make her stop stitching to go to bed !), as she appeared on my doorstep this morning with this …….
….. a beautiful hand-stitched and quilted case for her lap-top, complete with her name and ribbon ties ! Very impressed !!
