Little RaggedyAnnie has had a busy few days this week.
Whilst the weather has been so lovely she has made the most of it, visiting some of her favourite local places.
She had a day at Holmfirth with her nieces and caused a few comments while she tried on Compo’s wellies !
Had a lovely lunch at the ‘Wrinkled Stocking’ – Nora Batty’s house, and a visit to the Daisy Lane second hand bookshop – like I need any more books !
She also had a day in York, seen here admiring some of the beautiful work of the York Minster Broderers.
The new exhibition in the crypt is well worth a visit – there are many interesting displays relating to the history of the site of the Minster, including being able to see the foundations of the Roman fortress which originally occupied the site.
There are also several examples of Church vestments which it is great to see ‘up close’.
Don’t know what she is doing up there !
Oh well, back to work now. Getting ready for another couple of sessions at the Fabbadashery, and then my programme of courses here in Elland.
