Unfortunately it’s not me that’s off to L.A., just a huge pile of cushions Beckie and I have been stitching for a firm in Notting Hill. They are in silk Ikat and linen with piping and concealed zips. Just another 20 to go ! Here are a few of them ….
…I think Beckie’s ready for a brew !
So that’s the reason I haven’t done my blog for a couple of weeks, so here’s a bit of a catch-up ……
We had a session at home learning crazy patchwork, Angela enjoyed herself and made a stunning cushion panel …..
She has continued working on this, adding hand-embellishment including stitch, beading, braids and lace. I always find the problem is knowing when to stop !
We had another busy session on the project for the new library which I mentioned in my last blog. At the moment we are all working on buildings and places of interest in Halifax, using applique and stitch. See if you can recognise any of these …….
Most of these are still work in progress. Here are some of the group hard at work ….
Back home, Maynard the German Shepherd popped round for his tea ….
…. he brings me up to date on what my son is up to !
Saturday saw a full day at The Fabbadashery teaching Angie Lewin inspired appliqued and embroidered pictures.
All of the following are works in progress ….
…. all lovely !
