I seem to have seen a lot of sheep over the past couple of weeks ! Last weekend we had a Stumpwork Sheep course at the shop which was a great success – just about everyone completed the project and went home with their sheep framed up ready to display ……
Then we had a sheepish experience of a different kind this week when we went to my sister’s farm for the day. One of the lambs which was only a few hours old had been found on its own in the snow. Beckie took over caring for him when we arrived – rubbing him dry with a towel, warming him up with a hairdryer …….
…… until surprise surprise, he sprang into life !
….This is Beckie willing him to walk.
I’ve run a few courses this week both from home and The Fabbadashery. Four ladies from Oldham came here to make Hooked and Prodded Landscapes …
The other session at home was two of my regulars – Adam and Emma. They like to come for a day during each school holiday. This time Adam made a very professional looking cushion for his new bedroom and Emma made an applique cover for her i-pod and a silk painting of her rabbit, Poppy.
So, this weekend we had a full day at the shop. The morning saw a full-house of students eager to do my ‘Zendoodlestitch’ course. The following photos are all works in progress, but are already looking fab !
Helen also brought three items with her which she had started on previous courses and has now finished ! ….
Then to finish the day on a high we had a session on ‘Wool on Wool Applique’ ! Here are some of the great results …
…… lovely day !!
