It’s less than 2 weeks since I last posted my blog, but I seem to have lots to show you !
Firstly a catch up – Beckie has been making some beautiful Crazy Patchwork cushions ….
…these are a present for someone but I’m a bit tempted to keep them myself !
Two people who came to the Zendoodlestitch course sent me the photo’s of their completed pieces – they had both got hooked on the unstructured style of working and didn’t want to stop ! Here’s Rona’s work …
…. and this is Maxine’s – I love the ladybird and dragonflies !
I had a lovely day with Diana, Jill and Tina last week, they were creating some Hooked and Prodded Landscapes. The following are all in the early stages of working …
Tina was using a picture of a rug by Louisa Creed as her inspiration.
There were more landscapes when I ran a session on Applique Pictures at The Fabbadashery last weekend. Again, these are works in progress – once the fabric applique has been completed the embroidery and embellishment adds the detail to the pictures.
Nicola was working a picture of a friend’s house ….
… and as usual, by the following day she had sent me a picture of the finished piece !! ….
Another lovely North York Moors landscape …
…. So, back to my house again, and another rag rugging day with two enthusiastic girls ! ….
… they were both new to rag rugging but made a good start on their projects.
This weekend we had another day course on Applique Pictures with 4 self-confessed ‘giddy girls’ !! In between the giddiness they did get some lovely work done though !
– I think they were trying to behave for the camera !
They did some great pictures though including some cup-cakes which are just waiting for some embroidery and some beading sprinkles ! ….
…. another picture of the North York Moors, including some part-worked sheep ….
… a very cute beach-hut and brolly ….
… and last but certainly not least, Maxine’s fabulous interpretation of Clay House at Greetland ….
