Well, we had a completely hysterically funny day last week with Arthur and his friends ! He and 7 friends ventured over from the other side of the Pennines for a rag rugging day.
Arthur and Bill came hot-foot from the Tatton Park show, having won Gold for their floral display – a beautiful Venetian themed display entitled ‘Carnivale’. The rest of the group were also very talented artists and florists. I don’t usually have such large groups at home, but we managed to get everyone in !
They’re all threatening to come back again though, oh dear, I haven’t stopped laughing from this visit yet !
Later in the week Hayley and her Mum came to do rag rugging for the day, plus a bit of embroidery. We had a lovely day, and they both went away with projects well underway.
Saturday saw another busy day with two new courses at The Fabbadashery. In the morning we were ‘tarting up’ tote bags, had a lovely session with three very lovely ladies ……..
.
,…and in the afternoon we were creating ‘crazy creatures’.
Some were crazier than others !! No, Jason, I meant your doll !!……
A lot of the creatures were just about completed in the session – just need stitching up and stuffing . Wouldn’t want to meet any of this lot on a dark night ! …….
Sue T got hers finished at home and sent me a picture….
…I think this has to be the prettiest crazy creature !!
Because people don’t always just get things finished in the allotted time, we have started a new regular Wednesday afternoon group at the shop called ‘Stitchcraft’.
The idea is that you can bring along projects you may be wanting help with – advice on what to do next, finishing off techniques, or just completely forgotten what you were doing by the time you got off the bus back home !
The sessions are 12-30 – 3-00 pm and cost £5, you need to book a place by ringing The Fabbadashery 01422 647574.
